ASHESH : Bairstow and Ben stokes abused by cricket fans in Sydney test

SYDNEY : Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow were treated badly by the spectators present at the Sydney Cricket Ground during the ongoing Ashes Test series between Australia and England.

England batsman Jonny Bairstow said about the fans abusing him and Ben Stokes during the tea break that sometimes people cross the limits.

Bairstow-Stokes showed strength in Sydney

After 36/4 on Day 3 of the Sydney Test. Jonny Bairstow (103*) shared a 128-run stand with Ben Stokes (66) for the 5th wicket and later with Mark Wood (39) for the 6th wicket. Added 72 runs for it. With this, he scored his 7th Test century. By the end of the third day’s play, England scored 258/7, yet they are still behind Australia by 158 runs.

The audience abused during the tea break

Meanwhile, during the tea break, Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow were going towards the dressing room, when some fans called them abusive. This has been confirmed in a video from the Sydney Morning Herald.

On this Jonny Bairstow said, ‘This is not good and it is not needed. We are trying to do our job there. People should enjoy cricket. Unfortunately, sometimes some fans cross the limit. That’s why sometimes it becomes necessary to raise voice for this.
