IPL 2021: Dhoni gets another blow after Chennai defeat, fined 12 lakh rupees

CAPTAIN DHONI FINED RS 12 LAKH

Chennai captainĀ  Dhoni has been fined Rs 12 lakh for the slow over rate against Delhi Capitals. In fact, the BCCI has made a rule that now every team must complete their 20 overs in 90 minutes. Earlier, the rule was that the 20th over should be started in 90 minutes, but now within an hour and a half the scheduled 20 overs will have to be finished. In 90 minutes, the teams will get two time outs of two and a half minutes. Meaning teams will have to throw a total of 20 overs in 85 minutes. Accordingly, every team will have to throw 14.11 overs in an hour.

On the other hand, after the defeat, Dhoni has said that his bowlers will have to learn from their mistakes after a poor performance in the first match of IPL against Delhi Capitals. Dhoni said, “We could have bowled better. The bowlers could not perform as expected and bowled very loose balls. They have taken a lesson and they will do better in the future. “Dhoni said that a lot depends on the dew and keeping that in mind. We wanted to score as many runs as possible.
