Ravi Shastri read ballads in praise of Shikhar Dhawan

Actually, Team India’s former head coach Ravi Shastri while talking to Star Sports said that “Shikhar Dhawan is not given the credit he deserves. He is a wonderful player. When we lost in the semi-finals of the World Cup in the year 2019, the team missed him a lot”.

In World Cup 2019, Dhawan was injured after the initial phase, after which he had to be out of the team. Shastri further said that having a left-handed batsman in the top order can give a lot of advantages to the team. When the ball swings, it comes in for a right-handed batsman, but goes out for a left-handed batsman and it is much easier for the batsman to score runs.

Ravi Shastri  regarding the Indian batting order for Asia Cup 2023 & World Cup 2023

Ravi Shastri spoke about the importance of having 2 dashing left-handers in the top 7 of the Indian batting line-up for the upcoming tournaments. He said that there are two places in the top seven where I think two left-handed batsmen should come.

This is where the selectors come into play because they are watching and they know which players are attractive. If Tilak Verma is attractive, bring him in or if Jaiswal is attractive, then bring him in, but keep two such batsmen at the top.
